The main character of the work, a 37-year-old man with a mental disability, agrees to participate in an experiment to improve intelligence through surgery. But the main idea of the performance is not about the achievement of scientific thought, but about the connection of intellectual and emotional levels, about the triumph of humanity, the desire to help the weak. During the stage action, the audience together with Charlie Gordon lives a whole human life - from unencumbered, childishly trusting perception of the surrounding world to a highly intellectual understanding of all the spiritual assets of humanity. With his honest story, Charlie evokes a lot of emotions in the audience, who involuntarily get carried away by his doubts and hopes, deep emotional suffering, achievements and losses.

The play, which in terms of genre tends towards science fiction, actually acquires a deeply meaningful sound and encourages us to think about society's attitude towards mentally disabled people, about the subconscious connection between humanity and personality, about compassion and friendship.
